The science that scrutinizes substance is named chemistry. It was born out of alchemy, an old science that studied, among other things, to create the elixir of life and do gold from iron. Today chemistry simply studies the components of various matters, their molecular levels and the reactions that occur while various matters are being combined. It is also very necessary to detect the laws to have the possibility to create the needed matters from other ones. Chemistry, biology and physics are the sciences that have got a lot of joint purposes.

As the scientists had the thoughts that the organic elements have the connections to the life processes the organic chemistry was called such way. It was a wrong idea. As it turned out, lots of organic elements are not related to any living objects of life processes. Lots of inorganic components as cooper or iron, for example, play the main role in the in the reactions of living organisms.

Organic chemistry performs the analysis of substances that are made of carbon and hydrogen. That science studies their construction, properties, composition and reactions. Organic compounds are commonly used in a lot of goods, including plastics, foods, drugs, etc.

Analytical chemistry is a subdivision of chemistry that attempts to describe the laws of reactions which occur in compositions of organic and inorganic substances. The molecules and atoms of the substance are examined in details by that science. It studies the elements given, their composition and properties. Analytical and physical chemistry are quite similar, because they study the same reactions but take some various information from them. The scientists who work in that sphere bring much for the saving of natural resources and the safety of the environment.
